Nic Kerdiles(8) Norfolk Admirals

Nic Kerdiles

Anaheim Ducks 2nd round pick in the 2012 draft (#36 overall) left wing Nic Kerdiles(8) leaves two years of college on the shelf after a pair of successful seasons to sign his entry level deal that runs through 2016.

He was a more than a point-per-game player at University Of Wisconsin and won an NCAA/WCHA Championship as a freshman. He was named MVP after a 10-point tournament effort.

The 6’1″ 200 lbs. forward joined minor league affiliate Norfolk Admirals on an ato to finish off 2013/2014, where he notched his first pro goal and three assists, helping the team to a Calder Cup Playoff berth.

In 10 postseason contests through the first two rounds he added another 3 tallies and another helper to help solidify his standing as he heads into his rookie year.

The only 20-year old born in the heart of hockey, Lewisville, TX, skates an aggressive game, always digging for the puck and getting himself into the open spots for scoring chances.

He should make an impact going into training camp and make it difficult to send him down to start his first full season in the AHL.

Andrew Joudrey(24) Springfield Falcons

Andrew Joudrey

Springfield Falcons‘ 7th year center Andrew Joudrey(24) is coming off his most productive, third season with the team.

He recorded new career highs with 20 assists and 32 points; good enough to tie his regular season mark for helpers and second most overall total.

The not exactly huge 5’11” 185 lbs. forward, previously noted for his assistant captain, leadership qualities more than his ability to connect on the score sheet, signed his first non-NHL contract, a one-year deal for 2013/2014.

He’s only ever skated a single game with Columbus Blue Jackets in the show.

He won an NCAA Championship with University Of Wisconsin in 2006 and a pair of back-to-back 2009 and 2010 Calder Cup Titles with Hershey Bears.

The 29-year old scored the overtime, winning goal in the first game of the AHL Eastern Conference Calder Cup Quarterfinals and could very well also be on his way to new postseason personal bests.

Where he will end up next is anyone’s guess, but he could easily signed for another couple seasons to stick where he is.

Cody Goloubef(27) Columbus Blue Jackets

Cody Goloubef

Columbus Blue Jackets‘ 2nd round pick in the 2008 draft (#37 overall), 4th year defenseman Cody Goloubef(27) is having a breakout year.

On reassignment to minor league affiliate Springfield Falcons he has reached career highs in goals (6), assists (16), points (22) and will soon eclipse his mark in games played. He also made an appearance in the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic contributing a helper in the 7-2 victory.

He was actually never a really big point scorer through 3 years of college hockey at University Of Wisconsin but early development did connect frequently, especially with assists.

The 6′ 195 lbs. hard-hitting blue liner has received NHL call-ups in each of the last three seasons playing 15 games total, scoring his first big league strike.

He was signed to a one-year extension for 2013/2014 after his entry level deal was up and seems to be hell bent on proving his abilities to move up the ladder.

At 24-years old he’s making a good argument to stick with the only prospect system he knows and possibly score two more years at the end of the current campaign.
