Undrafted defenseman Torey Krug(74) leaves the final year of his college career in the books and signed a 3-year entry level deal with Boston Bruins. This occurred late last March, which made him eligible to skate his first pro games. It just so happened that the hotly tipped blue liner would find himself on the roster for a couple of contests in the show with the big club and even notched his first point, an assist.
At only 5’9″ 175 lbs. the 21-year old is an usually small d-man but brings a powerful slap shot and offensive upside to the table without sacrificing too much in the defensive zone.
He never seemed out of place when he appeared in his first two NHL games with the Bruins; but he will have to fight hard for a spot on the roster in his rookie season or find himself a spot in Providence to continue to grow and develop as a player. He looked strong on his skates and ready to compete in prospect camp.
